My personal black hole

28 Jun 2021Gregorio Cortez
Being deep in the black makes you anxious what elese you can find. And makes you jealous when you see discoveries made by other Cmdrs while you struggle to fine anything interesting.

After leaving IGAU Inverness, I headed north towards Colonia, and decided to make a stop on IGAU Cygni Vanguard in Floalk QQ-Q c20-2, out of curiosity I started browsing through the space map to see if I can find anything interesting on my way.

And i finally got it, the previously undiscovered black hole in Blia Phlai XY-S e3-10.

I quickly set curse on that and after jumping a few thousand light years on neutron cones, I made it in the system.

The black hole is not very spectacular in terms of the system itself. There are two brown dwarfs and two icy bodies in the system. The brown dwarfs are orbited by a bunch of rocky and icy bodies, some of which are landable and could provide some materials on their surfaces.

But for me the most important thing was the feeling, that I could tag a discovery of my own black hole.

While the system is located at the edge of The Perseus Crags and the Fallows, it's more or less equidistant between the two DSSA carriers I mentioned earlier - it might then be of some interest to explorers as a point of interest. I haven't seen any mapped black hole in the region anyway.

The hole itself presents a nice gravitational lensing effect when seen in front of the galactic core which shines in the background.

On my way to Cygni Vanguard I had one more place where i could admire a tiny portion of the wonders of the galaxy.
A binary neutron and orange K star orbiting close to each other in a quarterinary system Byae Aeb JX-L d7-52 made it a spectacular scenery to shot a photo.

And finally reaching the beautiful scenery on the IGAU Cygni Vanguard DSSA carrier in Floalk QQ-Q c20-2, orbiting a ringed world with a nice nebula over the shining galaxy core - that made my day.
