My fellow commanders have asked me to leave logs of my journeys across the galaxy and so this is the first of what I hope is many.

So I've finally made it to the now ancient voyager probes in my trust ol' DBX, truly marvelous things these are, lasting over a thousand years, slowly floating away and away into space, acting as a mark of humanity.

It was an interesting journey, flying out to the probes. It started off at sol where I stocked up with fuel, food, and mango juice. I then pointed roughly towards where the probes were projected to have been and then supercruised out at many many times ftl, and even then it took me about 45 minutes before I caught voyager 1's signal on my ship. I pointed my ship towards it and dropped in to a tourist beacon.

At first I was confused as to why voyager 1 was now a tourist beacon so I checked my nearby signals and there was one marked as 'ancient probe' I figured this would be it so I once again supercruised out to it and once I dropped in I saw it. Perfectly preserved over the last thousand years, Voyager 1. As I got closer to it I was able to catch the radio signal and listen to the famous 'sounds of earth' record.

It was an incredible experience to see the ancient voyager 1 and is the first major destination in my exploration career.
