CMDR's log, dated 22 March 3307, 23:30 UTC.The last few days have been, let's say, unusual.
One of the Squadron Fleet Carriers, "Send Fleet Pics", owned by my good friend CMDR Yakki, has been jumping several times a day all weekend, taking us to several different Guardian structures. These were both planetside and orbital in nature, with the intention of collecting the resources to allow us to outfit ourselves with Guardian modules and weapons to better fight the Thargoid menace.
While I wasn't expecting much, it appears that I may have made a new friend along the way, in the form of CMDR Ratterkresch. We met at the final stop on our journey before the Tech Broker, with Ratterkresch seemingly wandering aimlessly around the site.
I find it awe inspiring that such sites can stand the test of time, with so much, yet so little surviving these millions of years. I aim to understand them better; both the Guardians and the Thargoids (know your enemy, I'm sure).
However, it does give me great pause to think that the Guardians, as powerful and advanced as they were, tried to make peace with the bugs and were still wiped out. It's scary to think that our best weapons to fight these Xenos are based off of technology from a race that has been long-since extinguished by the very same threat that we now face.
I can only hope that these weapons are enough, for I see no alternative in our immediate future.
If anyone is able to provide further information, or a better weapon to fight the Xenos it would be greatly appreciated. I aim to help further this research myself, with a new Xeno research vessel I have commissioned.
