Seems like I've been on this god forsaken rock of a high g planet for days instead of hours. Got some sleep in the Duck but was woken by the glaring sunlight that seemed to hammer off the surface of the planet even though I had parked at the bottom of a crater.
Went for a drive in SRV1 to look for repair materials for my AFM's. Found a weird probe with the markings RF-78 on the side. Gave me Imperial data when I scanned it. One for the To-Do pile I guess.
It really is someones lucky day. Found 6 occupied escape pods in a crevice. 3,733 light years from Sol. I only came here because the planet is a ringed landable. Only problem is I'm heading the wrong way so they will have to stay in stasis for a while longer. Considered thawing one of the females out but the pods gave me a strange Space Family Robinson vibe so I let them be. They will be safe for now in the Duck's hold.
I need more sleep but the black is calling ...
