Journey to Omega Nebula

07 Nov 2017Faarken
Deep Space.

This region is dead.

Brown dwarf after brown dwarf.  Watching your fuel gauge shrink and telling yourself to trust your ship.  Turning off modules to conserve  fuel.

Arse pucker time.

Jump after jump - another brown dwarf, and another.  Wait - no it's a T Tauri.

Then, as your fuel tanks start to ping because they are empty you find a Type G star.

Fuel again.

I've made it across the dead region.  About 1000 light years to Omega Nebula from here.  The next section of my journey takes me across another dead region that I am still trying to find a scoopable in.   Until then I am parked in my current system Bleia Dryiae TA-U D4-114.

I flew too close to one brown dwarf and got pulled out of supercruise.  Was sweating balls I used too much fuel getting out of the gravity well.

Time will tell.

Signing off.
