The Colonia Trip #2

31 Oct 2021Willie Mitchell
Last entry for today. I’m at CB-25 Colonia Bridge in Nyeajaae NB-Q b52-14. The reason it took me so long to get here was because I was sightseeing. This is my first trip away from the bubble and like any tourist, I’m easy to impress.

Anyway, I figured out how to keep the pirates from bothering me at the Megaships. Just like in the bubble, don’t be hanging around the jump star looking around. Just like in the bubble, jump stars out here are like Nav beacons and a haven for pirates. They will mess with you if you hang around. So, keep moving.

Like I said, I’m at CB-25 Colonia Bridge. It’s the last bridge on the Bubble side of this project and guess what. There is a 11,318ly gap to the next bridge which is CB-52 Colonia Bridge in the Eoch Flyuae QK-E d12-2118 system. Things just got real again. . .But so far. I’ve been having a blast.

I haven’t seen any of the cools stuff yet other than some weird looking Nebula, but I’m looking forward to it once I get closer to Colonia. However, the systems I’ve been scanning along the way are gold mines. I’m a miner by trade and I’ve been marking some spots, close to a Megaship, that I would like to come back and prospect one day.
I’m spending the night here CB-25. Tomorrow I will have to plot a course between the bridge gap. Initial reports tell me that I’m looking at close to 300 jumps. There is no way I’m going to do that in one day. But future trips will be awesome once the bridge is complete.

Finally, after looking at things up close and personal, I can see how the bridge project is going to change the Bubble. This Bridge will really make it easy to do business over a VERY large chunk of the galaxy and slowly close the gap between Colonia and the Bubble. What a time to be alive.
