Some lead about some Professor

Traded some modular terminals with this guy Marco in exchange for some engineering on my distributors and XFs on my power plant and he mentioned something about some Professor, said I should head over to the Pleiades.Hopped into the Voltaire and came across a tourist beacon about some crashed ship and decided to head planet-side, hitting the place with a DSS scan before activating my PLS.
Next thing I know Voltaire's external panel is showing something about a Thargoid Crash site. I've seen weird things out here, with all these bios and then that weird gray cube thing that shot me down out here last time I was out here, but I've never seen a Thargoid ship up close. They're all over Galnet so how could I not at least check the thing out.
Truth is, it didn't look all that impressive. I'd be way more concerned with the Anny or Python half-way buried in the ground if I ran into them on a bad day. I don't see what all the big hoorah-ing on Galnet is all about whenever a bunch of vacuum-heads fight off one of their station attacks.
Beyond the novelty of these Thargoids and this legitimately unimpressive ship, I'm driving around in my SRV and along with all the fishes and beer someone left out here, the SRV computer tells me I'm coming across a bunch of these Thargoid sensors and sensor fragments so I scoop em right into my cargo hold. Marco said something about the latter, but these sensors have this weird effect on the atmosphere around them and now my effing pulse laser is malfunctioning.
Incredible, this job... a wonderful job.
Anyway, I had the Voltaire take some photos while I was in the SRV and I'll log them when I get to wherever I'll be staying while I take care of some mining.
I'll have to get back to Cubeo at some point to run some pledges for The Empress. That place is crowded right now with all those Fleet Carriers. I'm thinking something's up with the meeting in Sirius that's supposed to be happening between the powers. I hope I don't get dragged into something stupid and end up like this Type 9 here next to the Anny and Python.
