War Never Ends

Just this morning, I got a letter about an offering to work with the Empire against the NMLA. As a mercenary for hire, it does feels good when you're being hired, so you get paid. But, this one, somehow, is triggering something in my brain. It reminds me of the time back at the Jupiter war. That feeling of despair. I AM a mercenary, because my ancestors are famous for their mercenary work. I'm part of the O'Reilly family. I feel like mercenary work are part of the O'Reilly family tradition. Wars like this is the reason why mercenaries exists. They get paid to kill others. Back to the topic of despair, I guess I got the feeling because I feel betrayed by the Federation. Jupiter tried to assassinate Jasmina Halsey so Zachary Hudson could take control. Does that mean that Zachary got elected illegally? I might be overthinking it but it's over now. I guess you could just let fate decide.I have been hired on different wars and/or volunteered to help a faction to win the war. Around a week ago, I helped my faction win a war and took control of a system, I helped the factions in Tollan to resolve their war problems, I've assassinated many pirates and deserters. I don't give mercy to a target. A target is a target, that's it. I don't give mercy, or accept a change in missions. If a target is set, that target is the one I must kill. That is what I do as a mercenary.
War can happen. War never ends. When a war ends another war started. Humanity doesn't know peace. Those filthy terrorists have killed the vice president of the Federation and many others on the "Nine Martyrs". They managed to fooled us all, thinking it was a thargoid invasion. But no, it's just enzyme explosions that can do caustic damage. Forget about that feeling of despair, we need to end those terrorists now, and pay for what they have done. The Federation promoted me to rear admiral not just for nothing. It's so that I can have access to the Corvette and kill for the greater good.
This has been Daniel, AKA CMDR Gerudah, signing off.
Good luck in the war CMDRs, o7.
