INTERVIEW: TAPE 8
08 Apr 2021CMDR Vypr
GALNET REPORTER: How does a person even join the EG Union in the first place?VYPR: Back in the defense forces we used to move all kinds of cargo as a tertiary logistics service for the colony. Food, equipment, commodities. You know, the basics.
GR: Mhmm.
VYPR: It's not uncommon for a crate or two of things to go missing when you're trading. A container here, a container there, an extra that they changed their mind on. These things happen. The right people will usually pay you good money to do just that. It's even easier when you're part of the Federal Navy. Say you have a Type 9 moving into a system to drop off a bunch of guys with 20 crates of rifles to help knock off a local dictator to keep the regional Federal interests in check. These weapons aren't going to be factory Plasma Rifles; no no. These are illicit weapons. So no paperwork, right? Well if a crate or two goes missing; hey, it happens. A majority of EG pilots I've met got their start that way. Losing weapons in transport for the Federal Navy.
GR: But what I'm asking is what is psychologically enabled, what drives people to do what you do?
VYPR: I'm talking facts and you're talking theory. You're not a good person, [REDACTED] you've just never had to be otherwise. But when a man is pushed to his limits; what a man can do is what a man will do.
