Back In the Bubble Log#8

I am back in the bubble from a recent expedition. I even visited the Galactic Bar and went pirate hunting in the Ekono territory. All of this feels strange during this tumultuous time. We are on the brink of a real war with the Thargoids and it can't all be business as usual. My division at the Imperial Science Academy is working on ways to fight the Thargoids and developed methods to repel them. I miss the years that we were explorers and scientists for the love of science, not in self-defense. Anyway, I will do my duty to the Empire and Humanity. I just hope this doesn't turn into another Mycoid project or even another Xenocide, like what happened to the Mudlarks.On another note Norma has refused to leave my shoulder for the last week so, I guess we are a real duo now.
