Interactive Player Minor Factions

Imagine this: if you are part of a player minor faction, you can actually see it's finances. The missions you do and the influence you gain in a system, or the structures/systems it owns increases the amount of income per tick. With those finances, you can build settlements, starting with small + settlements, but eventually growing them to +++, earning the faction more credits. You can spend money on their security, which will increase the amount of restricted zones and guards present, making it harder for players to raid them. This also increases the intensity of the combat zone, if the settlement is ever involved in a war. You can also use large amounts of credits to immediately trigger an expansion state to a chosen system, spreading your faction further and further to new systems, starting the cycle over again. Or maybe even the ability to build star ports in uninhabited systems...PMFs would maybe even start recruiting other commanders more to help them expand, bringing the community closer.I know this is way too huge of an idea, and there is possibly a LOT of flaws in it, but I feel this would put a higher focus on the BGS, and would give PMF a higher purpose, other than just being on a higher spot in the faction list of systems.
