My First Ship

When i started trading i was in a loaned ship by the base itself. I wanted to get a well rounded ship, but be able to do all i needed. As time passed and i started to save up my credits, i started to really look closely to the ships i was working on in the shop. The hauler is a great ship, but it is not great of you want to trade big jobs, or if you need to defend yourself. Then i started to look at the cobra. It can defend itself, but it was lacking the large shipments i was looking for. I was looking at how many credits i had then i was seeing if i could get a lone. As i did not have any parents and could not have any help with a co sign, i started to decided between the two ships i could afford. My options where not to great in my mind, so i started to work on some paper work in the shop. As i was almost done with the days log a ship was requesting to dock for some repairs. As it was not my job to allow anyone in the owner of the shop allowed it. What came through the slot was a ship i have never seen before.An ASP Explore was the ship that came in. The pilot was an older gentleman who just had a high dollar ship get moved here. The ASP was in some bad shape as he told me he got chased by some pirates. He said the hull he brought here will be enough to cover the repairs and then some. We got to talking for a bit and he said he was thinking about selling his ship. i knew i could not afforded his ship, so i never even asked about the price. As we talked about each others life's the night was getting old and we both decided to call it a night.
The next morning he came in and i was working on his ship. Being my first time seeing non the less working on this ship i was taking my time and doing my best to fix it the right way. He asked how long i have been working and what all i have done. I was working on it for about 3 hours before he came in, and got a lot of the internals done on the ship. He was impressed, and was pleased on what i had got done. I went back to work as he went to talk to the shop owner. I saw him shake the owners hand and go to the back room to do paper work, that was the last time i saw the man.
As time past i finally got the ship all fixed up and he was ready to go. As i brought the owner the final codes to the ship so he could start it up, the owner said keep them they are mine. When he said that i did not know what he meant. After i asked what he was talking about he gave me a letter and ship papers. The letter was signed by the older man, and he ship papers said that he had given me the full rights and documentations to the ship. The owner gave me a big hug and said "congratulations on your new ship". Later i got into the ship read the leader and knew that i was blessed from that day on.
