Personal logbook of Baron Claudette De La Croix of Achenar, entry for March 18th, 3307.Today was one of the most eventful days of my life. I've only slept a handful of hours, so this log may be a bit rambling.
It's my birthday today.
Last night, I raced through a storm and found myself in the halls of the prestigious Lavigny's Legion in Carthage.
To explain how I found myself there will take some doing. My older brother Francis is in the Navy and put my name in for a suggestion to the Legion as their area of space needs assistance and-
Well, we all need assistance after the attacks.
I swore an oath to the Legion and offered my skills, and I got a change of clothes and the rank of a neonate initiate. I slept for a handful of hours in my new clothes on a bench, sold my ship, and gathered the funds necessary to buy an Anaconda.
I was then in Deciat, working with Farseer to fix her for exploration. Then the call came for humanitarian aid. I THEN flew to Ceimess with racks full of bandages, sutures, and antiseptics. THEN I went back to Carthage, decided to take my ship on a shakedown run, and now I'm
two thousand light years from Achenar if not more.
It's frankly incredible I'm awake. And that my wife hasn't left me for a doctor or someone that's home more often.
I am a lousy partner. I never give her the attention she deserves, but I promised I'll be back soon and next Thursday, I'm biometric locking my ship and the two of us are renting a cabin.
Personal achievements-
Pledged to serve her glory Arissa Lavigny-Duvall most formally.
Delivered medicine.
Avoided sleep.
Found extremely massive gas giant, approximate 3500+ Earthmasses. It's giant, hot, and dirt brown, so I'll call it Hudson's Ego.
Found a beautiful ringed fringe planet.
I'm going to sleep now. Ship is free parked in I don't know where.
