Ring Madness

You know,

You would think that in all our exploration and the data we generate you would think that we would have better data on rings that we encounter and scan, but we don't. Sure our nice scanners can measure the composition and total tonnage of the massive things, and even when we pop by to scan them with probes unless we are looking at the results they're not stored anywhere. What a waste. Aside from a few specialized data sites not on the GALNET, Ive started recording them in with an old tattered notebook and any note worthy overlaps documented in writing and maybe a photo of the overlay. I suppose one day ill have to digitize these even to keep a record of all the countless hours I've spent cruising to every ring and probing. You would think with all our advancements in 3308 now, ship AI included that someone would have included a way of storing ring probe data for analysis. Heck we have whole companies dedicated to deep asteroid mining yet none of them thought to keep a record. Maybe one day ill make one i suppose.
