The Marlin Standard: Operational Control Returned to the Marlinists in Hyades Sector AB-M b8-2

In a ceremony held on the Wings of Peace megaship, control of the Marlinist Colony Hyades Sector AB-M b8-2 was handed off to representatives from the Marlinist government and the Liberated Mazahuanese Marlinist League faction.This transition of power comes after negotiations between Marlinist Praetor Gyfiawn Gryfudd and Cmdr Sundriver of Omega Merchant Command ended in a transition of power agreement.
For the last 4 months Omega Merchant Command has overseen policing and defense of the system while the colony was in its infancy and the Marlinist government lacked the organization and human resources to conduct those activities.
The transition was made possible because of the development of the Dark Wolf Marlinists which serve as the defense and foreign policy branch for the Marlinist Colonies.
The ceremony was marked with a signing of a joint security agreement and several speeches were given before an enthusiastic crowd. Praetor Gryfudd in remarks at the ceremony stated, "Over the course of the last year, we Marlinists have not had a lot to celebrate but this magnificent moment shows that we will not be deterred in the pursuit of our ideals. This is just the first step in securing our new democratic republic for not just this generation of Marlinists, but all those to come.”
Newly appointed Magistrate for the Liberated Mazahuanese Marlinist League, Cmdr TimoKepler took the opportunity to recognize all those involved in the transition, "I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made this transition possible, from the Marlinist pilots who have answered the call to Omega Merchant Command, who through their allegiance & understanding have made our journey much easier. We look forward to working with you in the future and hope we can keep a strong, working relationship.”
Cmdr Sundiver of Omega Merchant Command (OMEC) commended the Free Marlin Navy on their professionalism and willingness to collaborate with all interested stakeholders. “Omega Merchant Command stands ready to support refugees in the quest for freedom from oppression. OMEC looks forward to a long and prosperous friendship with the Marlinist people.”
Hyades Sector AB-M b8-2 was one of three Marlinist Colonies controlled by foreign factions. There are eight total Marlinist Colonies.
The Marlinists are quickly developing their society and are taking diplomatic strides to establish their new independent home as a safe and peaceful place for Marlinists outside the Empire.
