The Trip To Beagle Point And Back Without Owning A Ship And A Pilot's License (By CMDR V4KY)

- 12.6.3308. -In the year of 3308, with the introduction of Fleet Carrier interiors, CMDR Rick Floss and CMDR V4KY had an interesting idea. Would it be possible for a CMDR who doesn't own a pilot's license and a ship to visit Beagle Point? The challenge was accepted, organized, financed and put into motion.
Let us introduce you to CMDR Kolnis.

He was transported to Chamberlain's Rest located in HIP 97950 on March 15th 3308 via Apex Interstellar. Having only 250.000 credits on him, he had just the amount he needed to buy the Artemis suit for exploration. While waiting for some time on the station, he was approached by another CMDR by the name of Karyal.

CMDR Rick Floss reached out to CMDR Karyal who is also a close friend of his and asked him to give CMDR Kolnis a lift to a FC by the name of /CIFC/ A. Senmonthis.

The FC didn't have any installed services, it was just used as a transport service. CMDR Karyal's Asp Explorer was equipped with entertainment modules, as the ship was on the FC itself for the duration of the trip, so there was plenty of booze and overall it wasn't that bad. On March 23rd, the FC reached Great Annihilator. This was one of their stops where they switched from one FC to another.

After hopping aboard the [STAR] Colonia Destiny FC, CMDRs Karyal and Kolnis meet up with CMDR Ledenon who was in charge of the FC. The advantage of this FC was that it had a Concourse Bar, so they all had quite some fun, mostly drinking and singing, talking about ships, economy, the Initiatives and large community groups, making jokes, anything to kill the time while they wait. The trip continued as usual without stopping at PoI's.

Upon reaching DSSA Ronin on March 25th 3308, it was decided CMDRs were to meet up with CMDR V4KY, a very close friend of CMDR Rick Floss. Both could not have achieved in their lifetime without helping each other out. CMDR V4KY would keep a close eye on the three CMDRs travelling with him. He was in charge of keeping them safe, there was no room for any mistakes.

While CMDR Karyal was observing the FC maintenance crew working on his personal ship (he didn't want his secret stash of Lavian Brandy being stolen), the other 3 CMDRs were in the captain's cabin discussing future ideas.
The trip continued at a normal pace and all 4 CMDRs were now getting closer to Beagle Point with each new day. On March 30th 3308, the FC jumped to Beagle Point. It was finally reached. However, the group decided to jump even further, to Ishum's Reach.
After one more jump with the FC, they knew they have pulled it off. The challenge was complete and it paid off. CMDR Kolnis was the first ever CMDR to reach the very edge of the Milky Way galaxy without ever owning a ship and a pilot's license. A truly amazing and challenging experience. We were very happy of what we accomplished. But we weren't done just yet.

The group had a small coffee break after the last jump. They discussed on how to proceed and prepare for CMDR Kolnis stepping foot on one of the rocky planets of Ishum's Reach.
Hours later, CMDR Karyal and Kolnis departed from the FC and proceeded to fly towards one of the planets within the system. CMDR V4KY stay aboard the FC. He was already paranoid of the darkness surrounding him.
CMDR Karyal landed the Asp Explorer on one of the bodies and both got into SRV Scorpion. CMDR Kolnis disembarked. After observing the area around them, CMDR Kolnis said to CMDR Karyal: "I've never been more scared in my life being this far out with no stars in the sky surrounding you. You try to reach the end of the galaxy to escape from the stars, only to get frightened by the dark and lack of them, for you to decide to go back."
After taking some photos of the surrounding area and admiring the view, both CMDRs boarded the Asp Explorer and took off, landing on FC [STAR] Colonia Destiny, where they prepared for the trip back home.
Half way through, CMDR Kolnis was transported to another FC by the name of [STAR] Beagle Rover.
On their way back, they dropped off CMDR V4KY at Scheau Blao TB-A c28-274, the home system of DSSA Destiny Ascension and a strategic refueling point for the journey to continue. After refueling, FC [STAR] Beagle Rover was heading for Colonia.
Couple of weeks later, after having a great time in Colonia, it was about time for CMDR Kolnis to head back to The Bubble and end his unique trip. On the 12th of June 3308 CMDR Kolnis was transported from FC Beagle Rover to FC Marching On Together, an FCOC Shuttle Service in charge of giving CMDRs a lift from Colonia to Bubble.
