Many within THKI and the Phoenix Federation were left breathing a sigh of relief this morning, as the prospect of open conflict has been put aside in favor of cooperation along the Phoenix-Ken'Tarii border. Both CMDR Antraeon and CMDR Tman agree that the Wang Dana is a border system on the Phoenix-side of the demarcation line, but at the time of this document being published only The Ken'Tarii Mandate has any standing presence there.Over the past couple of weeks, Ken'Tarii CMDRs have been working overtime against what seems like a well-organized but largely underground effort to remove their faction from the system, with several installations and the largest surface port in the system, Bernoulli Legacy, having been lost to the uprising.
CMDR Antraeon explained during his opening statements for negotiations, "I can confirm that one of Phoenix Federation's pilots was recorded as part of the daily system traffic in Wang Dana during the first two days of the conflict." He then went on to explain his concern is more for the implications it has on cross-squadron relations than any BGS-related impact it might have. "If we're talking scale or potential damage, I'm more worried about the rogue fleet-carrier that showed up around the same time as the sudden influence spikes rather than I am about what one lone CMDR might do to a 55+ traffic system in conflict... If this guy really is acting alone without Tman's approval, then that's indicative of some internal trouble with Phoenix that I want nothing to do with."
