The Edge of the Galaxy

After many many jumps, and at over 16,300 LY from Sol, I reach my final destination: Hypuae Euq OM-W d1-0. It is the last star system in the galaxy in the direction I've been heading and there are no more star systems beyond it. Even with a jump range in the thousands of LY's, there's nothing further to jump into beyond this system.Getting to this star system required me to make use of FSD synthesis to boost my jump range again, and manually plot my way here, similar to what I had to do when crossing the the Outer Arm Vacuus.
Looking back, the galaxy which we all take for granted as being seemingly endless now seems very small and distant. It is very dim, and can be seen in my field of vision without having to pan. Beagle Point is over 80,000 LY away, on the other side of the galaxy.
This star system is home to a ringed High Metal Content world:
Not too far from the host star, orbiting one of the gas giants in this system, is a landable rocky world with some materials I can use to boost my FSD for the return journey across the Outer Arm Vacuus:
The sky is devoid of any stars, further reinforcing the feeling that I am at the end of the galaxy.
I take my time and enjoy the view for a while. Eventualy, I gather my materials and plan my route back to the bubble...
