Large moon with atmosphere and at least 9 biological signatures. The diversity of life surrounding and inside the canyons on this moon made for an incredible experience. Unfortunately the landscape is nearly entirely grey, however the atmosphere caused the sky to have a yellow tint. Near the canyons I sampled Peach Concha renibus, Amethyst Fungoida stabitis, Green Frutexa Acus, Yellow Tussock caputus, and Yellow Cactoida cortexum.
Satisfied with my samples, I boarded my Asp Explorer in order to move to a new system. I was struck by the beautiful topography and continued flying for several minutes, taking in the sights. Several kilometers from the canyons where I initially touched town, on a high flat plateau, I spotted yet another species. Apparently the rocky canyons were inhospitable to this life form. Here on the plateau there was an abundance of slightly pink soil where not one, but several different species were able to thrive. In this biome I sampled Emerald Stratum paleas, Teal Aleoida coronamus (which seems to turn dark grey with orange striations as it ages) and Turquoise Osseus fractus which had initially caught my eye on the plateau.
Hope to have many similar experiences throughout my exobio career.
P.S. The 9th signature? Disgusting globs of Lime Bacterium aurasus. Yuck!
