Why you should fear brain trees?

I'm currently engineering my ship for way to Colonia. My long time forgotten homeland. And everybody familiar with engineering knows that you need a lot of materials, including raw ones. I prefer to trade them for selenium and my stock is starting to be depleted, so I have to go mine some. When this happens I always visit some location with brain trees. But I fear them. Do you want to know why?If you look at the brain trees, they are very... very strange. Obviously it's an organic thing. They live on planets without atmosphere and breeding raw minerals. They are not on one planet, or few. Brain trees are fenomen which you can find over A LOTS OF planets. Isn't it suspicious? If you count all these facts, what calculator in your head tells you? Did it light the bulp already?
I have a theory. People don't talk about brain trees and their origins, we are not performing any biological research and I can guess why - somebody fears same thing as I do.
It's long time since first encounter with Thargoids. What do we know about them? We know that they are competent warriors. But as every civilization in space, they need to mine. They need minerals and other materials. Thargoids are much older than humanity itself. Did anyone ever seen Thargoid mining settlement? NO.
I think, Thargoids are way too much advanced civilization for mining. If you had all time in space, would you bother mining? No. Braintrees are definitely Thargoids invention. They don't mine. They simply plant brain trees on planets rich for materials and waits... They wait maybe 200 years. They can afford this time, since they are planting them everywhere. Once when brain trees are old enought and materials are transported from under the surface to those tree crowns, they simply extract them by extraction beams from orbit.
So next time, when you will go to harverst brain trees, think twice who planted them. They can be close. They can watch you. They can wait for you on the orbit. You are cave men for them, incapable of miracles they can do over night.
Be careful commanders. Let's hope that antixeno pilots like my personal hero - commander Salmonea will protect us.
