16 Oct 2017Jemine Caesar
“Drives are down- engage!”

The wing of ships from Newton’s Fusiliers circled the stricken Cutter like jackals. On command, harpoons fired from specialized launchers, impaling the mammoth white vessel as they closed in.

One pilot, a youthful man in his thirties, brought his Viper to the rear of the halted ship, its reverse thrusters working to bring it to a halt. “Goddamn, this girl’s got a big ass!”

A few other vessels flew in tandem, also straining against the cables.

“Thought you liked ‘em that way, Swordfish!”

The giant central thruster from the Cutter sputtered and died, the crew within desperately trying to bring it back online. Others around it followed suit, leaving the vessel at the mercy of its attackers. The pursuit was over.

Swordfish grinned. “Takes a real man to service a real woman. Speaking of which- snatch breakers away!”
