Go and look behind the Ranges!

Tom Villiers was an Optio in Lavigny's Legion, a man of honor and duty to the Empire. But as he gazed out at the vast expanse of space, he couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and curiosity. There were worlds out there that he had never seen, places where the Empire had yet to venture, and he couldn't help but be drawn to the idea of exploration. As he pondered the mysteries of the universe, Tom was reminded of a poem he had read by Rudyard Kipling - "The Explorer." The words came back to him now, echoing through his mind like a distant call to adventure:
"Something hidden. Go and find it. Go and look behind the Ranges—
Something lost behind the Ranges. Lost and waiting for you. Go!"
For Tom, those words held a deep truth. There was something out there, waiting for him, something that he couldn't even begin to imagine. And though he was a soldier, bound by duty and honor to the Empire, he couldn't help but feel the pull of the unknown.
But as he looked out at the stars, Tom knew that the dangers of exploration were real. The vastness of space was both beautiful and terrifying, a place of endless possibility and endless danger. And so, he asked himself the question that Kipling had posed so many centuries ago - was he willing to risk it all for the sake of discovery?
As he pondered this question, Tom knew that the answer was yes. He would take the risk, face the danger, and explore the unknown, because that was the only way to truly understand the universe and his place in it. And though he was a member of the Legion, he knew that the spirit of exploration burned within him, and that he would never be able to truly quench that fire.
So he set his sights on the stars, and prepared himself for the journey ahead. He knew that there would be risks, and that he might never return from some of the places he would explore. But he also knew that the rewards would be worth it - the sense of discovery, the knowledge of the unknown, and the thrill of adventure - all for the glory of the Legion and the Emperor herself .
And as he launched his ship into the endless void, Tom Villiers felt a sense of excitement and anticipation that he knew would never fade. For he was an explorer, a seeker of the unknown, and he knew that there was always something more waiting for him out there, beyond the stars.
