Just a reflection on the game since launch…

I remember the day with a sidewinder with only 4 tons and thinking how am I going to make it in the universe? Back then we didn’t have the tools and resources available today, so we kept notes and dreamed of a 15 light year jump possibility. Then we progressed though the updates (remember the last patch in 1.2 where your ship would explode if it touched anything). And then we made a trip to sag a and back in the asp that had almost 29 light year jump range (we didn’t have engineers back then), it took months not weeks to complete. Was fortunate enough to be one of the first to see Jaques Station when it’s jump to Beagle Point failed, before it was a system now called Colonia. It took a while to get triple elite but the road was paved with excitement, joy, self fulfillment and yes sometimes frustration but worth it. Now as I am about to breach the 6000 hour mark of game time, I look back and wouldn’t have changed anything. This game is is almost a virtual life that evolves and changes as we do interacting with it.
