Moving on from the Bubble on my Nebulae Tour
10 Apr 2017SGopher81
Almost two months after departing, the IES Seeker has been to the Bubble Nebula and got some good photo shots for the scrap album. We are now moving towards the NGC 281 nebula with the longer mission now planned to move around nearby nebulae at a slow pace, scanning systems on the way rather than focusing on speed and getting there as quickly as possible. The computers stats show circa 550 systems have been visited so far on the tour, and only a single ELW has been found to date. However, over 70 terraformable worlds have been found, together with multiple water worlds and the first ammonia world, although no Thargoids or even a trace was detected during a detailed scan of the planet.
After NGC 281 there is another nebula nearby that we plan to visit before heading up to the Crescent to complete the nearby nebulae tour. This exploration trip will finish in the Outott sector of space for a detailed scan of the region, as most of the stars in the region are scoopable and it's not far from home.
As for home, who knows when we will get to HR 783 and what state the Imperial Society will be in when we get there. I've got past the homesick phase of the journey and looking forward to spending a lot of time at the end selling the data. We have only just started in terms of how many systems I want to visit.
