Heading Home with a Plan

The IES Seeker is now crawling home at a leisurely pace, circa 3.8KLY from HR 783. We have been out in the black for a few months now, and having scanned almost 1,100 star systems at this stage the computer core has significant exploration data to send to Universal Cartographics, albeit still with only a single ELW detected in all this time. There have been some interesting discoveries, including half a dozen ammonia worlds without any sighting of Thargoids or their civilization. Water worlds are very common and I'm sure we have found over 200 candidates for terraforming so it has been a productive trip outwith the hunt for ELW's.I've been agonising on what to do when I return as well. My adopted faction has basically collapsed, but another Imperial faction has emerged and I don't want to get caught in any crossfire. I'll now focus on expanding Imperial influence in the area, with multiple systems being independently controlled but with an Imperial faction present. I've realised its not about the faction but about the glory of the Empire, so that's what I'll be doing when I get home, regardless of which Imperial faction I need to work for.
