Goodbye, Galactic Center

Captain's Log, date 9-9-3307.Feels like it hasn't been that long since my last log entry. Guess I've been making good time on this expedition. The space madness has been creeping in, slowly but surely. With every jump, I can feel myself wishing more and more that I was just back in civilization. Seeing another human, or another ship, or anything that isn't a star or stellar body. It's not a very good sign, considering my aspirations. But I'll continue on. I have a goal, and every jump I make is one step further towards that goal. All I need to do is make the steps.
I suppose the loneliness has contributed to my speed here. I've been opting to bookmark planets with biological life signs so that one day I can come back and give them a proper investigation. I've been more focused on jumping to the next system and putting more lightyears behind me. This drive has finally gotten me out of the Galactic Center, and into the Empyrean Straits.
There's definitely a lot to be explored in the center. Billions of stars there, I imagine. I personally racked up over 100 codex entries during my 2200 jump journey through it. But at this point, it's all behind me. A brief part of my journey will take me through Empyrean Straits, and after that, I'll be spending quite a while in Odin's Hold. I admit I'm quite excited to see what it has in store for me. But until then, I just need to keep moving on.
My next waypoint is another 756 jumps away, so I'll have another log entry then.
Away we go.
