Preparations for the carrier have been completed, the departure point is a visual treat, despite the crew needing a little bit more radiation shielding. It's a wonder how the system is remains to hold an Industrial economy, it's all soldiers and factories, imagine a tourist beacon right here!

I mean, the time I flew charter tourist flights I did took these snobs to places way less remarkable than the pearl necklace that had these ringed stars.

Ultimately, I did chose this system, in hopes that budding explorers, as well as the more experienced ones do hear and pay heed the call of the void.
Freshly landed on my docking pad I am being called to the bridge to join the crew (and maybe share a drink with them), the staff running frantically all over, the chatter over the intercoms, and the siren, that damnKlaxon's noise! If we didn't had an AI rigged to the jump sequence, most of us in here would like to get the chance to trigger it.

It's a few minutes after GST midnight, the jump went unsurprisingly smooth, I think the wine had a more noticeable effect on me than the actual injection burn.

Inspections are in progress, expected hull degradation is within acceptable bounds, Hangar access has been re-enabled, most of the on-board Cmdrs are in their quarters and I am headed to the icy moon's surface for a drive, and maybe a walk. It's been a while since I read the inscriptions on those structures, it's like coming back to an old friend, but the wierd way they put information in your head aside of the symbols you pick up visually is fascinating.

Planetfall. While any external observer may argue that I de-orbited before my expedition peers to claim grave robbing goods - Which In fact, I partly am, they do sell for a good price - there is an ulterior motive behind my motives. I too, seek to unravel the left behind achievements of these 'guardians'. We know that they engaged the Thargs at some point, they weren't just dealing with an extra-planetary alien species, they dealt with inter-galactic species eons before we - humans - did.

My whole research is still a theory at this point, and silly as it may sound, we know for sure that the Guardians divided - at least -  into two polar factions. Moreover, so far we know they were careful observers, not just  the carnivorous beasts they originated from, they were avid learners, and builders. Far more respectful to their surroundings than humanity. I do not believe they are completely gone off the face of the universe. Among my craziest theories, I am only disclosing that I have two chief ideas, it's a hard thing to prove, but if right, it could mean a shift in how we understand guardian tech, legacy  and history.

I'll keep scouring these places, biding to glean any hint, any clue, these absent tennants may have left. Anything that can point me, and the rest of my species towards where I expect us to find them.

End Log.
