*START OF TRANSMISSION*
Hi, Alexis here with an -admittedly- earlier log than I expected to make.

Where to start... Uuhm... Let's start by saying this mission was a huge bust.
Starting by the way we were "handed over" to Hivemind. The settlement we were supposed to go, to hand ourselves in to Hivemind.. What was the name... Oh right! Newton's Prospect, you know the one where I found Aurora unconscious some time ago...
Oh right, apparently we're on a first name basis now? But I digress, more on that later.

Anyway, the settlement was back online, occupied and actively being guarded by the ruling faction there.
Me and Aurora shared ideas on how to follow through to get to the place to handcuff and blindfold ourselves. First I suggested to simply sneak into the building. The guards didn't look too well trained so it would've been easy. But Aurora countered by saying that we had to sit incapacitated and someone was bound to find us anyhow.
I kind of suggested to take out the whole settlement then. But Aurora got like... This very concerned look, and simply said "no, we're not doing that".
Well sure, it's not like the people in the settlement were a target, but whatever gets the mission to succeed, am I right?

We tried another entrance and found one that would get us into the command building without a problem. But then suddenly guard stopped us and asked us what we were doing there... Soooo, of course we both gave a different answer. Way to go guys!
The guard got a concerned look and showed doubt...
Great, we still could try and convince him, but then suddenly there was gunfire outside and he immediately suspected us too. He grabbed his rifle and tried to aim at us. Yeah.. Tried... I kinda went too aggressive on the poor guy, I kicked his rifle out of his hands and transfered to a chokehold.
IUsually I'd go for a snap of the neck. Quick and easy, relatively... Don't want them to come to and cause trouble, right?

Anyway, Aurora sternly told me not to kill him and I subconsciously let out a sigh. Alright fine, it was conscious. Yeah sure, he was just doing his job, but he knew the risks when applying for it.
When he lost consciousness I let go off him.

... Not that it mattered anyway, as a squad of mercenaries entered the hallway we were in and plain shot the guy while he was just lying there.
Ah well, less blood on my hands, got some on my boots though.

Aurora thought to be brave and go yelling at one of them, obviously she got a rifle to the face and fell to the ground. Could've predicted that honestly. She got lucky she didn't get the one that recently shot in her face.
I quickly got a few of 'em pinning me to the wall and quickly cuffing me. They then deployed my helmet and put a bag over me. Without any warning! Rude!

We got dragged into a ship that quickly departed and engaged it's FSD. It jumped about 6 times, but of course I've got no idea about the range and the direction... It sounded like a Federal Dropship, but no idea why mercenaries would use those.
During the trip I asked Aurora if she was alright, but she took long to answer...
Guess she was in shock from what just happened. I've got to admit I was worried about the hellhole we were spiralling in myself.

Oh dangit, I completely forgot to tell about meeting Aurora.. Should I redo this? ... No I'm redoing this.

Anyway.. Yeah, so, how it all started. I was on a small mission for a contact of mine, nothing big, when I got contacted by Aurora. She wanted to pick me up to get to the Solaris.
She went even as far as to pick me up at a location of my choice, so I told her to come pick me up at the station I had to do business at.

When I concluded business, we met up. At first I was very professional, but she quickly told me to drop it and just call her Aurora.
Once on the Solaris we got a -honestly- boring briefing informing us about the do's and dont's... Honeslty, it could've been a memo.

Oh! and Jaiden was there! I apologized once again to him, explaining that it was nothing personal, the way I treated him so far, and that it was because of the whole situation we found ourselves in.. But he kinda.. Just shrugged it off?
I mean, he did say it was alright, but I don't get that feeling from him?

Right, meeting. So, apparently we had to do this mandatory training. Freshen up basic stuff like breaking free of chokeholds, handcuffs, .. All those kinds of things.
I sighed and rolled with my eyes. I mean... Do they even realize where I used to live? It's not like I make it a secret for the squadron...
The responsible person, Captain Griffin- Griffith or something? He didn't really appreciate it, though, because he gave me the death stare. Fine... I'll play ball...

Untill the training happened.. I got bored, started fooling around. He got angry, challenged me and I quickly swept him off his feet.. Left him floating around for some time too. Sorry not sorry!

After the training we went some exploring and got to know eachother. It was quite nice, despite some hiccups.

At the end of the day, I wished Aurora goodnight and I was about to find some place to sleep. But she I could stay in her quarters.
When we arrived, I settled down and she told me to use her bed and that she'd use the couch.. Well, I was having none of that.
I mean, she's still the squadron leader. I'm used to less comfortable places than a couch to sleep anyway.
After some back and forth arguing she promptly said that I was taking the bed and it was the end of the discussion.
But at one point she left, to record her log, so I grabbed a cushion and blanket and settled on the couch.

When she returned, she tried to switch places, but I refused to move. She gave in and let me stay on the couch.

Either way, let's just fast forward to current events... Once the ship landed we got taken outside and frisked. When they removed the bag from my helmet, they shoved me into a room - apparently our quarters during our stay - and swiftly got told that they'd remove the handcuffs, but they'd shoot us without a thought if we tried anything funny.
Well, it was the easiest way out of the handcuffs, so I complied.

Then there was this meeting, with someone that claimed to be AC, guy got really on my nerves.. And he wasn't actually AC.. So I snapped and broke his arm. Of course his guard detail got into the room and one of them kicked me in my side. Didn't hold back either, took my a while to recover...
I heard some yelling from the guards and Aurora, and they left. Then Aurora helped me up and wanted to comfort me... She came in for a hug and turned her head towards me.. Looked like she wanted to kiss me... And I just.. Went for it... So we.. Kissed...

....
I mean, it's the first time for me, but I suddenly feel this attraction? Of course smartass me said "nice" under her breath. Get a leash on this mouth of yours Alexis!
I'm not sure what Aurora thought of it.. We've kind of been avoiding the subject between the two of us.

Some time passed and the leader - the one of which I broke his arm - came inside and his detach of merry men followed in his footsteps.
We got pinned to the wall by the guards, I threw up a fight but couldn't break free of the guard holding me... He kept me pinned to the wall real good and threw in a few knee kicks and punches for good measure.
Obviously it didn't help that I provoked him a little... I told him something along the lines of: "stop touching me you perv, didn't your mother teach you manners on how to treat a lady?!".

The leader started asking questions to Aurora about the squadron.. Dangerously specific ones too... I tried to interrupt, but that damned guard wouldn't let me!
He got enough of Aurora's lack of providing answers, so was just about to grab her away. But it was quickly followed by a gunshot.. And blood splatters...
The guard holding me let go, so all I did was duck for cover...
The person that shot the leader quickly disposed of the rest, so in the heat of it I grabbed a gun. When every guard got disposed of, I held him at gunpoint, but Aurora swiftly yoinked my gun. Apparently she knew the guy.

He gave us supplies and weapons, and escorted us out. A good thing too, since we had to fight our way out - and boy was that place crowded with guards.
I didn't really think much of it, Aurora seemed to trust him and taking just him out sure would've been easier than that entire settlement.

Now he's taking us back to the Solaris with a beeline, to get rid of Hivemind on our tail.

Anyway, here's an update, as short as I could, of what happened in the past days on my mission with Aurora.
Alexis out.
