Cat's Paw Nebula Journey [1] - Beginning

I was waiting for an FSD reward for quite some time but looks like it will take much more time than I thought. While waiting I was traveling from one bar to another from system to system.
And at the HR 783 system, I met a pleasant person who immediately draw my attention.
He was sitting with a group of people and speaking to them not with "generic galaxy language" but my native language!!!
I forget when I heard this last time.
Anyway. I decided to come closer and welcome them.
Appeared that they are brothers in arms and members of UAPF "Ukrainian Pilots Federation".
With great pleasure and honor, I accepted their invite and start helping with many military conflicts they are trying to handle.
Ukrainians are still having trouble on borders.
But day after day I felt that this is not what I'd like to do.
My new squadron captain saw this and introduced me to their scientist's department.
They told they are really lack data from the outer worlds for the needs of factions.
How happy I was when realized I can help here!
So I quickly withdrew my combat bonds, purchased a decommissioned ship from the local police department, and selected "Cat's paw" nebula as a target destination for my journey.
While Viper's ancient nav-computer was doing its job to build a route I started preparing the ship for the journey.
The ship has a military equipment section which was obviously disassembled during decommissioning.
So I just built a door there and hung a sign "Emergency exit". Because behind that door is just a space.
I found an old rusty SRV Scarab in the depth of the hangar, cleaned its dirt, replaced damaged parts, and refreshed the paint job.
At the nearest planetary market, I found all I need for the travel: compressed water cubes, packs of dried vegetables, expandable breadsticks, and salted meat.
I also decide to improve the cockpit slightly.
I found old Christmas decorations and applied this to the front window.
Now it looks much home-like. But when was I "at home" last time?
Space is my home now.
Surprisingly hull easily fit all stuff for the journey and even a few spare slots left.
Once the computer completed calculations I hoped into the commander's seat and engaged departure protocol
