Cat's Paw Nebula Journey [3] - Crash site

This night I realized my new companion is a very tender lady cat. After we have done with our lunch I was working on the biological data collected. She decided to sit on my lap and purr loudly.
Overnight she hops into my bed and sleeps the whole night near my legs.
At early sunrise, I started the ship's engines for the warming-up procedure, initialized navicom to next planetary system, and while on-board AI perform those procedures I deployed my SRV to collect biological samples.
After routine tasks at a couple of planets in the next star system, a loud sound from the navicom drew my attention. That was a distress call signal.
I focused my scanners on the source of the distress call and head forward to the point.
That was a crash site which I can see happened a very long time ago. Almost nothing left from the ship except a couple of materials and 6! escape pods. I checked them and all were in a perfect state and have someone inside. Unfortunately, I don't have any possibility to gather them to rescue and I can't just open them as a special long health reanimation procedure is required.
So I marked place on the navcom and sent this data to the Galactical Search & Rescue department using long-range laser ray transmission.
That is all I can do for those people.
With sad feelings, I was leaving that planet. I hope if such happens to my ship - the next pilot who finds my escape pod will be able to rescue me.
