Eventful Uneventful Days

The past couple of days were probably uneventful for most pilots, but for me, it was quite the experience.En-route to another system for profit, I docked at a lone outpost that was orbiting a star on its own. It seemed extra lonely without a planet in the background. Makes you really think about the cold and unforgiving nature of space.
I saw my first binary stars! I know they're not uncommon, but they were my firsts. I even flew between a pair of them. Cockpit got a little warm though, so not something I should be doing often, I imagine.
I also saw my first Imperial slaves. It was a little shocking to me, thinking that slavery still exists. It was on Resnik Hub in the Secoya system, and I don't know what to feel, other than being unsettled. They were being loaded up like cargo, though their cargo pods were like little escape-pod-like habitats rather than something more inhumane, it still feels wrong somehow. I heard Imperial propaganda comparing Imperial slaves to no different, or even better, than Federation wage slaves, which makes me think a bit about my situation back home before I got my pilot's license; we certainly didn't have the freedom to move about, but at the same time, we weren't liable to be stuffed into a cargo hold and made to work based on the whims of whoever owns us. Even if we didn't have that much of a choice, at least we still had enough freedoms to do what we want and dream, right?
That got a little heavy, probably a log entry is not the best place to debate on the ethics of Imperial slavery.
On the trading-side, I managed to hit three different sets of systems, trading minerals and precious metals. No interdictions again, which I'm relieved for, and I might be able to get a new ship soon. The various pilot networks mention that systems under Sirius Corporation influence may offer discounts on ships and ship modules, so once I saved up enough I'm going to take a trip to a system with a decent shipyard and take a look.
