Starfleet command wishes to train fighter pilot

Starfleet command has decided to send me a young ensign to train as a fighter pilot for the enterprise, they say this will compensate for her photon torpedos being offline until needed, she can manage well with her phaser cannons and phasers until the photon torpedos are needed, however, they say the fighter will act as a extra weapon if i train the pilot to defend the enterprise.
I must admit, starfleet command have done their homework here as the fighter has been working fine as an extra weapon with its pulse phasers and the young pilots training is comming along very nicely, sparing the photon torpedos until needed has helped regulate power to the weapons systems and she has been better for it.
