Unexpected Discovery

It was a jump like any other. An M-class star, jump in, fuel scoop and another jump. But I saw something. 106,3 Ls out there was a planet. Blue planet. I thought: "Let's check it out!" Sensors scanning: Earth-like! I got into orbit, Impact warning, lights flashing. I was just fast enough to dodge a meteorite. Sensors indicated life is down there, but I have a crack in my canopy, so I decided to not risk it. I finally spun up the hyperspace drive, slowly going back to my home system of Jonai.
