Ascending The Peak Expedition, log one. Due to the delay of signal transmission across subspace, the following log refers to events that took place from the 7th of April, 3308 up until the 10th.
The preparations were made, the fuel was filled, and the wine was loaded. And also, a crew was formed!
*Cmdr Ironsnail: Navigator and Carrier's Skipper aboard the LLV Fishburn's Ferry
*Cmdr CaptainRumBarrels: Wine manager, rare-goods tender, and cameraman
*Cmdr Spaceman_05: Essential member of previous expedition, British Accent Haver
*Cmdr Ducksstroyer: Comic relief, also was on previous expedition
*Cmdrs Beetlemuncher, Ceage, Chitter, Dowenco, TotallyNotADJ, StoneTheAvali55: Crew, Explorers, Passengers and Winesellers.
We began the bubble-end of the expedition hopping between notable phenomenae and sights within the bubble, commencing at Diaguandri and finishing at Quince, far above the bubble and in the direction of our goal: Rackham's Peak.
Along the way, we saw the blindingly fast moon of Mitterand Hollow, the molten surface of Skardee 1, The Earthen Sunrise of Azeban Orbital, Black Holes, Neutrons, rings, ammonia worlds, colours all around. There was much to see and little time to see it all, so in the end we rather rushed this leg of the trip. But all we missed, we can see again any time we're in the bubble, so not much is lost.
After a final stop-off at the magnificent Jeffries High in Quince, the LLV Fishburn's Ferry was ready for her trip out into the black.
Many wonderful sights were had, and many awaited us.
Commander Ironsnail, April 11th 3308
