Returned to an Invasion and war

Location: Classified. Upon return from the Achilles Altar trip we find humanity is at war with a race called the Thargoids. I have engaged the assistance of a few commanders outfit and fine tune a Krait MK2 for Thargoid combat. It has been a bit of a rough start to the war, humanity has lost hundreds of solar systems to Thargoid invasion. Billions dead or displaced and turned into refugees. I have personally transported a few thousand to safety. However my main objective is rather to stop the invasion by killing as many Thargoids as possible.
