CH vs TNG @ Tatil 8

LOGBOOK UPDATE 3308-03-02 00:10 UTC
It seems not all of our previous allies approve of our settlement in Tatil's political circles. Tensions were high between Centurion Hierarchy and Tatil Netcoms Group since the beginning of the week, and the situation escalated into an armed conflict today. Naturally, I joined the fight after the Hierarch scrambled our forces. The Roaring Thunder departed as soon as my fighter pilot Adamaris returned from her cancelled R&R.
We arrived to the battle at Tatil 8 at 20:10 UTC. Sadly the recent formation of our political group was clearly visible. While our supporters fought valiantly, they lacked the military might for a short and decisive victory. After destroying the enemy's high ranking individuals on the battlefield, we focused our attention towards their largest ships. The upgraded weaponry on the Thunder made quick work of their shields and armor, although I find our missiles' performance underwhelming. I must continue the negotiations with Sirius about the advanced missile system we discussed at Reorte.
With the gas giant secured, the bulk of our forces returned to base for repairs. Attrition rate is estimated to be 45%. We must end this war quickly to prevent the excessive loss of life. Before heading back ourselves, the ship's sensors picked up a faint signal in the gravity well of Tatil 8 A. Upon investigation we found the remains of the enemy fleet regrouping in the planet's shadow. Four battle groups were intercepted and destroyed with the help of the still intact ships of our faction. No significant losses this time with the exception of a Type 10 Defender.
Long range sensors at Roddenberry Dock confirmed that TNG retreated from Tatil 8. We joined our ships returning for repairs and rearming. The Roaring Thunder only suffered superficial damage, although a few internal modules needed maintenance due to overheating. Total expenditure was 4 million credits, covering our ammunition costs and the replacement of four drone fighters. On the other hand, the Hierarchy rewarded our efforts tenfold.
Note to self: The weird stray current issue in the flight controls still persists. The recently installed power regulators failed to eliminate the phantom inputs. Further investigation is required, although I am confident that a bit more rewiring will fix the issue.
