Commanders Luusormis log. Stardate 33050617.1018.After much concideration I have come to the conclusion that the Type 9 Transporter is the best mining ship. The Cutter is generally thought to be the best, but I differ.
The Type 9 is much slower, can´t take as much punishment and has fewer hardpoints than the Cutter. All this is true, but with my loadout I can have a higher cargo at the same time as having more Collector Limpets in the air. This is really all you need in a miner.
However, the Cutter is the better choice in a transport ship! Transporting from A to B will be much safer in a Cutter, especially with a shield. The increase in speed and the much higher Mass Lock Factor makes any interdiction a minor inconvenience since you can just submit and fly away and re-enter frameshift.
Both ships are excellent and has pro's and con's, but side by side comparison, the Type 9 takes the price as the number one miner out there right now.
