"Captain's Log, Stardate 09.14.3309

We have encountered some aliens in the Negrito system. The creature, designated as 'Thargoid,' has been observed attacking a civilian megaship. As we approached the vessel to interrogate the datalink, it became clear that the Thargoid was not only hostile, but also highly advanced. Its weaponry and technology far surpassed anything we've seen before.

We attempted to communicate with the Thargoid, but all efforts were met with aggression. It is clear that this species poses a significant threat to our safety and the safety of all life in the galaxy.

My co-pilot and I have also noticed strange occurrences on the megaship. Equipment malfunctions, hallucinations, and other unexplained events have become commonplace. It seems that the Thargoid's presence is having some kind of effect on our ship.

Our scans indicate that the Thargoid's weapons systems are powered by a huge form of energy, so we backed off and quit the zone promptly since we don't have the ship to fight back; but not without having huge damage on our ship hull, equipment and systems modules; for good sake we fall on a T-10 that send some hull reparation drones to our spaceship before we leave in supercruise.

"As I gazed out into the vast expanse of space, watching the destruction of yet another megaship at the hands of an alien threat, I couldn't help but wonder what it was all for. We spend our entire lives hurtling through the cosmos, searching for answers to questions we can't even articulate, and yet, when faced with the reality of our own mortality, it all seems so...pointless.

The universe is indifferent to our existence, uncaring of our struggles or triumphs. And yet, despite this knowledge, we continue to fight, to strive, to push forward into the unknown. Is it mere stubbornness? A refusal to accept the futility of our efforts? Or is there truly something more to this existence than meets the eye? These are the questions that haunt me, that keep me awake during my long watches on the bridge. Questions that I fear may never have answers... Unless..."

Heading now to the home base Fleetcarrier to do the reparations needed on the spaceship before the next mission.

Signing off, Captain Sanders, Commanding Officer, Bungarus Snake FXDB55."
