Detailed Incident Review:
During a visit to Chadwick Orbital to review defensive fleet measures by Head Office, Sikkai Posse staged an attack in an attempt to retake the station. Company assets were mobilized quickly and efficiently to deal with the attack, but since the executive staff present were highly skilled combat pilots, the decision was made that they would also sortie to attempt to turn the battle further in the company's favor. Noxbestia and Kupok launched in company modified ships, a Krait mk.II and Type 10 respectively. CEO GridJumper, however, utilized his own personal ship, the Wayward Son in an effort to bolster morale. The battle was going as planned with the executives disabling several ships each alongside the rest of the station's defensive squadron. Shortly into the engagement a group of 4 heavily modified ships armed with powerful technology entered Chadwick's combat zone. These ships registered as Sikkai Posse ships and were ignored as reinforcements to the battle. Unusual behavior was noted by Ops as the ships did not immediately enter the engagement and appeared to be coordinating. Suspicions were confirmed as they began to exclusively attack the Wayward Son.
Showing their collective ability to adapt to evolving situations, the deployed executive staff rallied to cover GridJumper. While it managed to evade large amounts of fire and could both withstand and deliver large amounts of punishment beyond known ships of it's type, the Wayward Son sustained heavy damage before the assailants were eliminated. With several of its systems, including engines, heavily malfunctioning or rendered inoperable, the Wayward Son re-entered the combat and assisted in repelling the attack. Contact with Sikkai Posse about the incident revealed that no ships in their current fleet match the specifications of the unknown assailants.
CEO GridJumper sustained only minor injuries, has insisted no other staff be allowed to repair the Wayward Son and that he would personally refurbish the ship.
Sikkai Posse is also conducting their own internal investigation into how their IFF codes were leaked.
