Attention Please. This is an Emergency Message from the Pilots Federation. A Thargoid attack on multiple stations have been confirmed. The current threat level is Extreme, meaning that an attack is in progress. The stations that have been attacked are Dzhanibekov Station in the Sosong system, and Laumer Orbital in the Didio system. All citizens in those stations must evacuate immediately. All Commanders are called to render assistance in the evacuation of civilians, and the delivery of supplies for repairs. Be aware of hostile Commanders who may attempt to disrupt this vital work. If you are working on the current mission to fight back against the Thargoids, continue to do so, as long as you are confident in your skills. It is possible that additional attacks may be confirmed. If so, we will update you with further details.

Well smeg.. things have gotten a lot more complicated than I thought. Time to get things together and get some people out of harm's way. Is it hard, repetitive and tedious? Well.. yeah, but it's tempered by the fact that lives are saved, and that can't be bad, can it?
