Beagle Point Expedition: Phase 2

27 Sep 2023BrittTheFurry
It's been a while since I gave an update. It was quite a surprise after exiting the hyperspace at Great Annihilator, and it makes sense now. It's a massive black hole. Not quite as massive as Sag A but still massive. Refueling went as planned and we continued on. As we got closer to Sag A, I paused jumps for a day or 2 so people can see the center of the galaxy.

Now a few weeks later, it has become dark and quiet... The bright, star-filled backdrop of the core regions are now just a faint strip in the distance. The closer we get to Beagle Point, the less stars fill the skies. Distances of over 20 LYs between the star systems aren't uncommon. That's why they call the outer region The Abyss I guess. Just a few more jumps and we're there. Completing Phase 2 of the expedition. And on a side note, when you're that far away from civilized space, the whole war situation, conflicts, and troubles of bubble life becomes.. insignificant. No war, no trouble, nothing out here in the deep black but the stars and silence of space.
