Captain's Log - 10/10/3308

A lot of my day was spent exploring today; however it was not without excitement, good and bad. I stumbled upon many undiscovered systems, one in particular held great biological data waiting to be recorded. On my approach to a new planet, my calculations proved less than precise and I touched down very hard. Juliet sustained heavy hull damage, but was still space-worthy. I departed immediately and found my way to a nearby fleet carrier, the USS Voyager. After a repair and quick drink in the Pilot's Lounge, I headed back to explore the system. The rest of my exploration went off without a hitch. I finally made my way home to Ray Gateway and made enough credits to purchase a new ship, the Type-9 Heavy, which I have named Express One. I have been told it's the best for large trading contracts, and it sure has proven itself so far.
While the handling is very odd and the jump range a mere fifth of Juliet's, I've been able to haul so much cargo. I'm beginning to think that express may not have been an appropriate name.
I look forward to seeing what kind of enterprises I can create with this ship.
