Right; I'm not much of a writer, but I'm not getting any younger and the pressure seals on this Krait's cockpit are aftermarket (goddamn war shortages). May as well get some practice in and leave something behind. Suppose I'll skip the favorite color horseshit.
I'm a combat logistics pilot of some small renown. Got my license in... 3301, if I remember right. Been fixing ships out of Reorte for a decade up to that point and figured I might as well learn to fly one. Felt a lot safer out doing EVA welding than in a fucking Sidewinder, but free is free. After a bit of courier work I invested in an Asp; I won't bother going into detail with what it was used for, but I was able to afford an Anaconda within the week. Only so many dots to connect there. I'm not proud of it.
On a brighter note, spent most of '02 and '03 running with the Fuel Rats in the 'conda. Good people and honestly the most fun I ever had in a cockpit before learning combat. Years spent holding a wrench made the required engineering work a breeze; almost felt like being back home. Still keep the old ratter in Torch's hangar maintained, just in case a new-hire isn't watching their gauges.
Spent most of my time in '04 learning my way around combat and exploration, often both at the same time. Saw my first Cyclops (Christ they're ugly), stumbled on a Guardian ruin, earned ranks running support fire for both navies in some ridiculous police action or another. Things were looking up. Then Gnosis happened. Whatever idiot at the Pilot Federation green-lit that flight-plan should have been thrown to the wolves. I quit. Moth-balled my fleet, resigned my naval commissions and retired. Until Paresa...

...did this jackass throw his Python into a minefield? Going to have to pick up on this later; I'm working overtime tonight from the look of things.
