House Salus condemns attack on the Emperor

The Emperor was attacked by as of yet unknown assailants, while leaving the Cubeo system. The terrorists made an attempt at the Emperor’s life, however were ultimately defeated by the brave pilots of the Imperial Guard.House Salus has issued a strong condemnation on the recent attacks on the Emperor’s convoy, and has assured the Imperial palace any and all resources they require in the ongoing investigation. As of right now, no further details have been made public on who might be behind the attack. House Salus and the Salus News Network urge readers to refrain from baseless speculation until further information is released.
Imogene Rohburg, chief of security for House Salus, and laison for the Imperial security services issued a plea for the Imperial public:
“At the moment we know very little, and I want to urge everyone to avoid baseless accusations. While we appreciate the public’s eagerness to help, we must ask you to only contact us if you have actual proof that aids the investigation. The Emperor is safe and secure, and new information will be released once our investigations are complete.”
The Arch-Duchess Magdalena von Salus, who is currently in the Capitol attending the Imperial senate, spoke to the Achenar Daily after the news of the attack on the Emperor broke:
“This attack was as foolish as it was futile. The Kaiser lives, and the spirit of the Empire remains forever strong, and unbroken. What our enemies fail to understand is that an attack on our Kaiser is an attack on all of us. Wherever our enemies might be hiding, we will drag them out of the shadows, and show neither mercy nor pity.”
