I kIlled my first Cyclops today, while defending the Proteus Wave in HIP 22460. I destroyed scouts before but that are mere drones so it didn´t count to me.
First I was proud to have done it.
It was a hard fight. While the other where taking on the scouts,
me and a phyton pilot, i never meet before, took the big one.
She didnt make it and i was nearly killed.
23% Hull, most modules under 50%, no repairdrones left and heatsinks and gauss cannon nearly out of ammo.
But i did it. I got back to the Musashi.
Experienced AX-fighters will laugh when the read this.
Maybe they feel rage when they read further.
Because then came the stale feeling of doubt. Was that really right.
I went to to stars to explore alien life.
I´m a explorer but now i destroyed intelligent alien life.
What a beautiful awesome vessel.
Is that really selfdenfence?
Yes, they reacted hostile when we spread over more and more systems but so we would.
We brought all this guardian artefacts here from afar and we knew how they would react.
We lure them to a big trap to destroy them all. This sounds like xenocide and now i´m a part of it.
I´m not a saint. If somebody shoots at me i shoot back.
I don´t back from a just, hard fight. I hunted pirates und traitors alike.
I served in the imperial navy and in the federal navy, before i was rogue trader.
Did dangerous transport jobs at Gacrux.
Sometimes my little Oselik chewed five wannabe pirats with Anancondas a day.
All to get the money for exploring. To live my dream and dicovere the galaxy.
And then came a call to arms defending mankind while i was in colonia.
I changed my plans surounding the galaxy with my carrier and went back.
Hell of a trip.
Collecting guardian artfacts and deliver them to the Bright Sentinel.
Then buy, equip and engineer an proper AX-Ship, what a grind.
But all felt right and justified.
But destroying this awesome may be ancient Cyclops made me doubt.
I hope we are doing the right here in HIP 22460.
Future generations will judge us.
