Entry 7 - Final Preparations

I feel a little bad that I haven't updated this log in a while, but after the disillusionment in the last entry, it felt like I was a bit lacking in enthusiasm. To that end, I've been stalling a little bit.I made it back to the Bubble, in any case, after my field trip to the Rosette nebula. I was even able to enjoy it a little and take some photos along the way.
Interestingly enough, I was later able to confirm with Universal Cartographics that I was officially the first person to set foot on the planet in the image above; I'll have to look it up again to get the precise name again, though.
Once I got back and did a last bit of engineering on the Galaxy Song's thrusters, I suppose I knew subconsciously that I was out of reasons to delay my start for Colonia, but at the same time, it didn't feel like I had a reason to start now. So I did what every procrastinator is best at, and invented some reasons to stick around the Bubble for a bit longer, running some errands and doing some bounty hunting to raise my combat profile a bit with the Pilot's Federation. For some reason I decided to outfit my Python in a passenger configuration, with the intent to store it at Robigo Mines as a shuttle service. Not sure when I'll ever get to use it, seeing how it will likely be at least a few months to Beagle and back.
So I needed a reason to start my journey, and while I was wrapping up the Python, my squadron mates suddenly announced that they were departing for Colonia, as well... and more or less immediately. Which left me little time to gather supplies and make my own departure. I've packed up everything I need, I think, so it's just a few last checks before I depart the Bubble for the time being.
I hope things will run smoothly out in the black, and I look forward to seeing all that the galaxy has to offer.
