Ninth Logbook Entry... Cloudy With a Chance of Stardust
18 Jul 2023Darkbeetle
Hey guys! After a length half-month delay (I apologize), I've finally returned from my expedition. And I have a lot of screensh- I mean pictures to share. In case you haven't got any context on the expedition I'll be talking about, go to Logbook 8 and read about the first part of this trip. In this logbook, I'll be sharing some of my thoughts on what happened, expedition pictures, and a sneak peek at the next logbook (since the content is already there).
As you can see, this is a water world with first discovery made by the Beetle himself. Looks very blue... but the next one is even bluer.
See? I told you! With just 0.06 atm pressure, there are no clouds and it just looks like a pure blue ball wandering the galaxy.
And here, is the difference between night and day on an alien world:
It just so happens that the nighttime sky contains the Iowhail Nebula, which has large star clusters around it.
Some cool space thingys.
Here's me approaching Sagittarius A*/Explorer's Anchorage
...And here's the giant black hole at the center of our galaxy, which unfortunately doesn't look spectacular enough in Elite Dangerous.
Whoops, almost broke my character there! I meant, it doesn't look very good through this drone. Forgot to clean it after arriving here.
Anyways, thanks for reading! The next logbook will include content from the bubble, and let's just say that the post-expedition spending sprees never stop. In the meantime, I'll be working on the new Community Goal. o7 CMDRs, until next time!
