Cmdr's Log 09July22-2: The Lagoon Nebula Detour

My rendezvous with my clone for his birthday dinner went well. It was nice to spend time with the genetic batch and simply relax. But, time waits for no man, even if the Lagoon Nebula and SagA do.I set off on my course to the Lagoon. As I approached both the Nebula and the galactic center, it seemed as if SagA was flinging stars everywhere. The black was becoming less so with every new system, and the Lagoon was growing in size by leaps and bounds.
I set down around 200ly out from LG, on NGC 6530 Sector LU-R a20-1 a3, to get a view from the ground of my destinations.
Once I had done some startrip sightseeing, I set right back off, eager to land at Amundsen on Lagoon Sector NI-S b4-10. As I approached the ever growing Nebula, I saw what I believe were far off galaxies off to the ends of the spirals of SagA and was just struck by how far from the bubble I had come. I know many have gone much farther, but never having ventured far from the Pilot's Federation systems, it was simply awestriking to consider my journey thus far.
Finally I arrived, and, of course, I had to make sure to get a good shot of where I was once I landed at the terminal.
Soon I'll be heading into back into the stars to take a few more steps closer to my goal.
