Mr Matthews

He woke up in his personal quarters, turning off his alarm that was blaring in his ears. The voice over the comms system rang out a voice, “Remember to request docking permission before entering the Starport, or you risk a lethal response”
It was all normal from what he could hear and see. Moving towards his locker he unlocked it, grabbing his space suit and ID card.
“McKenzie Matthews. God, I couldn't have had a better name huh? Heh. I’ll stick to using my Nickname instead.”
The man placed down the ID card, instead grabbing the other one slouched down on the messy desktop, cups strawn around it with paperwork piling up around them.
“Commander Lion. Much better.” He said picking up the ID card marked
‘Name: CMDR Lion
Age: 30 Years
Occupation: Pilot’s Federation Vice-Admiral
Clearance level: 5 - MAX’
He donned the ID card, entering the code on the door panel, unlocking it and moving through the crowded corridors, before entering an elevator, the holographic text over it displaying the number 04, pressing the Landing Pad button on the panel.
As he rode the elevator, another announcement echoed through the kilometres wide station,
“Remember, all station services are available to commanders with zero notoriety”
As the elevator arrived at the landing pad, it opened up to reveal a large starship, its colours black with red accents, and bearing insignia on the side of a kite with a star in it, and a planet orbiting it, a ringed planet with the name ‘Brewer’ on it, and some lettering saying the name of the ship ‘Cooler than you’ and the ship’s identification number of ‘BTK-12’.
McKenzie smiled seeing his ship again, ready to explore the galaxy once again.
“What a beauty, able to sustain me and act as a mobile home, all in the size of a medium household.”
He boarded the ship through the back, moving through the modern looking rooms into the cockpit, powering up the systems on the control panel.
All of a sudden, the holographic displays lit up, and a voice echoed around the cockpit,
“Greetings commander. Shields online. Powerplant online. All systems online”
The commander responded back, the smile still on his face,
“Thank you, Verity. Greetings to you too.”
He pressed a button on his control panel, and pressed return to surface. His ship rose up to the main open area of the station. He watched the ships come and go, some being as long as the pyramids of giza are tall, some of them being as small as a house living room.
After staring at the ships for a while, he pressed launch and was ready to disembark.
The station’s ATC crackled over his ships comms after he did this,
“Make way for oncoming traffic in the airlock, commander. And reduce speed to 100m/s.”
He ignored these instructions, instead disengaging auto launch and boosting out the airlock at 390m/s, barely missing a Beluga Liner on the way out.
“Wow, that was too close. I really need to stop doing that don’t I?” McKenzie queried himself, when the AI voice piped up,
“At this rate, Verity will be fine. Commander will not be.”
“Yea yea, keep on it with the snarky remarks and i’ll replace you with Victor or Celeste” The commander responded
“You will replace me with Celeste? She cannot even say ‘Frame Shift Drive charging’ without saying it faster than a ship moves in supercruise” Verity snapped back with.
The commander scoffed at this, somewhat agreeing but still being insulted anyways, and selected a nearby system on the GalMap, and charging the FSD.
“Frame Shift Drive charging” The AI said. And after half a minute, he was gone in a flash of light, leaving a high energy wake in his place.
