A familiar face, in unfamiliar territory

So, with the new TG Pulse Neutralisers, the Thargoids have responded aptly and now there's swarms of Revenants or whatever those folks at the Alien Naming Facility thinks is a good name for these drones at a whole host of abandoned settlements deep within Thargoid territory.Anyways, I was running a reactivation mission for the folks at Imeut. Simple task, in and out. Done it a dozen times. Little did I know the horror which awaited me.
As I got there, I got out in my Scorpion SRV and was instantly assaulted by a horde of Revenants. The buggers made me dismiss my ship and soon enough my SRV was inoperable. Had to run into shelter on foot and take the Power Regulator with me.
I eventually got to the power center, reactivated the power and took the Biological samples from locker 13 of Habitation when I heard it. A creaking, a crackling, coming from the sky. A groan and a pop and out came a Thargoid Interceptor. I was now trapped as I couldn't recall my ship without it being blasted to pieces, and so I sent out a distress beacon.
5 minutes later, a commander receives it only 30ly away, and what do you know? It's CMDR Serza. A name I've not heard for months now. The joy I had from this was almost enough to distract me from the pyramid sized death machine lurking above.
As I dealt with some excess revenants, I saw a Krait MK2 soar through the air as the goid let out a shout of anger, quickly quelled by the sounds of AX Multicannons firing onto its hull.
With the Interceptor distracted, I recalled my ship, which the revenents fired upon relentlessly. As it landed, I got in quickly and took off at 10% hull, as Serza followed suit and we got out of there to Starchaser.
Now, I'm in a fit out anaconda and waiting for the go signal on Operation Spark, to assault the Maelstrom.
